In the name of god amen the third daye of February 1622 I Averye puplett beinge sicke in bodye<br.< but p[er]fect in memory thanks be to god doe make this my Last will and testament in manner and
forme followinge vis.. First I Bequeath my soule to Almyghtie god my saviou[r] and
redeemer in whome I trust to be saved and my bodie to be buryed ^{in the church yard at Bansted} at the discretion
of my executors

to be payed him w[i]thin one yere next after my decease

haywarde crofte Adioynynge upon Blackmeare? being in the com[m]on of Bansted ^{on the east} and
upon the lands of m^r ...... moyse called maresfeildes on the south & west and the kyngs
high waye on the north to him and his heires for ever

the poore of the p[ar]ishe of Bansted^xxs to be geven at my buryall

All the rest
of my goods and cattell unbequeathed I will and bequeath unto Gyllian my wyfe
and Emanuell my sonne whome I make joyntlye togeather my full and whole
